Ms. Nakhoul is a founding member of Smith Whiley. She is a member of Smith Whiley's Executive Committee and a member of the Investment Committee. As a Senior Managing Director, Ms. Nakhoul has oversight responsibilities for deal flow development, selection and portfolio management activities. She is an active participant on the boards of certain of the partnerships’ portfolio companies.
Prior to forming Smith Whiley, Ms. Nakhoul spent 14 years in the commercial finance, credit research and loan restructuring departments of several major financial institutions including Aetna, Inc., as an Investment Officer. While at Aetna, Ms. Nakhoul was responsible for the capital goods, defense, natural resource and transportation sectors, where she directed investments of $800 million and managed $1 billion of private placements.
Ms. Nakhoul also provides coaching, mentoring and advisory services to burgeoning women-and minority-owned businesses.
Ms. Nakhoul has B.S., summa cum laude, from Boston College and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
