Ms. Fields manages the Firm's Illinois regional office where she generates investment opportunities in the Midwest. She is a member of the Firm's Executive Committee, a member of the Investment Committee and is responsible for investment selection and analysis, transaction pricing and structuring, portfolio management, liquidity management and deal flow. She serves as a board member and board observer for the certain of the partnerships' portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Smith Whiley in 1998, Ms. Fields spent 19 years in the commercial finance departments of various financial institutions, including 10 years at Bank of America. During her tenure there, she achieved the rank of Senior Vice President, leading a team of originators of highly leveraged transactions in the Midwest and Canadian markets. Prior to joining Bank of America, Ms. Fields managed an investment origination team at Citicorp North America. She began her career at Continental Illinois Bank in Chicago.
Ms. Fields has been recognized by numerous businesses and civic organizations for her leadership and contributions. She holds a B.A. degree from Northwestern University and an M.B.A from the Kellogg School of Management.
